Katia Upgraded to Tropical Storm

Katia is a newcomer
Recently added to the tropical storm name list, she replaces Katrina which was retired six years ago as is the practice for hurricanes that have caused extensive damage and loss of life.
Still too early for weather experts to determine if she will flounder like Jose is currently doing in the Atlantic or pack real wallop like her namesake did in 2005 when it made landfall in Louisiana. The recently upgraded tropical depression will continue to increase in strength and is expected to be at least a category three hurricane by Labor Day.
The good news is that according historic data, Katia only has a one in four chance of hitting the United States.
