Goodnight Irene

August 28, 2011 § 1 Comment

Irene has come and gone.

From my vantage point, it looked pretty tame, as hurricanes go.  Regrettably, she left loss of life and property in her wake.  The tally will not be known for a few days now.  First assessments being reported on the news are positive and seem to indicate that this was not the doomsday storm reported last week.  A downgrade to tropical storm status means that New York City must continue to wait for that elusive hurricane to show up.  A good thing indeed.  Don’t mind waiting.  Hope it never happens.

Are the Global Warming Alarmists wrong, again?

While Irene was taking up space on primetime and in the news, Tropical Storm Jose had been floundering in the Atlantic.

Keep moving.  Nothing to see here.

On deck, Katia.
