Ten Year Old Dies From Dehydration Because He Was Being “Punished”

What is wrong with people!

This story is absolutely crazy.  Why would anyone purposely deny someone, anyone, water?  For any reason.  Let’s set aside the issue of abuse just for a minute as we look at common sense.

We need water.  It is as simple as that.  Water.  We need it.

Ever heard of the Rule of Threes?  It is a guide of three things that, if gone without, could end up killing you.  It’s a no brainer to me. Got air? Check. Got water? Check. Got food? Check. Hey, add some shelter and I am golden! Add facilities for bathing, cooking, and a toilet for waste management. Paradise!

Three minutes without air?  Not Recommended.

Now, let’s get back to the abuse factor.  I really don’t know where to begin.  These people make me so mad I could spit!   But that does not matter.  What matters is will this poor child get justice?  Not really sure.  Maybe?

Three days without water?  Not Recommended.

The news report states that if convicted, the father and step mother could receive up to 99 years of jail time.  Not really sure that is justice.  Perhaps they should have their water withheld from them?  For, say, five days?  Oh what the heck.  Maybe we test the Rule of Threes on them?

Three weeks without food?  Not Recommended.
