Huckleberries and Dingleberries

If you watch KY3 news on a regular basis, then you have heard of Joey’s House. It is a wheelchair accessible home built specifically for the Nelson family and their son, Joey, who has a form of muscular dystrophy. So, for stepping up to the plate and sponsoring this opportunity to give a helping hand to one of our neighbors, the people of Heart2Heart Outreach Ministries of Fair Grove, Missouri, are Huckleberries. http://articles.ky3.com/2011-07-31/joey-s-house_29837001

Now for the Dingleberry.

I completely understand the need for the Vice President of the United States to have a detail of the Secret Service assigned to him. After all, he is the President of the Senate. I also completely understand that this same detail of brave men and women need someplace to live while ensuring the safety and well-being of their charge. And, if said property is owned by an individual or entity other than the United States of America, recompense at fair value is proper. Unless, of course, said property happens to be a quaint little cottage owned by non-other than Vice President Joe Biden. I know what you are thinking. Mr. Biden is an individual who owns property currently occupied by members of a Secret Service detail charged with the protection of none other than the Vice President of the United States. The problem here is the appearance of an impropriety.

You, Mr. Biden, are requiring your own Secret Service detail to pay you rent in the amount of $2,200.00 per month!

President William Jefferson Clinton did something very noble when he reportedly found himself in this same situation. He refused payment.

You sir, are a Dingleberry.
